Police allege the 36-year-old Bendigo man had been out of custody for only an hour before he was up to his old tricks again - breaking into cars, houses, offices and even a cathedral.
A court has heard he dropped his police charge sheet at one of his crime scenes and, two hours later at another break-in, his police interview DVD.
"You get crooks sometimes who leave one thing that's stupid. Both things are extraordinary," Sgt Brendon Murphy told the Herald Sun.
"From the police perspective it's quite good. We appreciate people who leave this evidence for us."
