Jesus Promotion

I was left very confused about the Jesus promotion. Advertising to Thank Jesus for Wabbits (this i understand); God created Rabbits. Movies and Hot Chips??? this is what confused me. I'm not very religious, so feel free to correct me if I am wrong, but my understanding is that Hot Chips and Movies were invented by Man, AFTER we had eaten the apple from the tree that god told us not to as it gave us knowledge that we weren't meant to have. I beleive Adam ate the apple because he was enticed by the snake (Satan), there for.... doesn't that mean that we should be thanking Satan (or even Adam) for the Hot chips and movies, and not jesus???

According to the 'good book' I read, it says.....
And on the eighth day God said, "Okay, Murphy, you're in charge!"
So I think it was all Murphy's doing.
Hope that helps with the confussion.

BP, you sound as cynical as me.
But many theologians would say you are correct. They would just use a name other than "Murphy" for the concept.

it says in the bible that we should always praise god through the good times and bad...
i dont know why they advertised that though its a little silly.. but god created everything so naturally if you believe you would be thank ful all the little n big things, im not a full religious person but i do no basic things such as.. all bad things are from the devil and if you trust and pray to god things wont be bad for long, this doesnt mean just become religious cause u need to cos your in a crises but u can start from there and develop a relationship with god and learn more about him etc etc
to the statement that magda made lets blame jesus for the bad things.. of course shes gonna say that while shes a jew, discussions of religion should not and i mean NOT!! shown on a program such as these.

Actually RP, it was the woman who enticed Adam, after she was enticed by the serpent. See Genesis chapter 2. And ever since, human beings have blamed other people/things for their behaviour. "It's not my fault, xxxxx made me do it." It's what I call the "Eden Syndrome" - not taking responsibility for one's behaviour.
Coming back to your question. I, too, am a little puzzled. Unless it has some deep theological significance to creation in general.

Why do people have such a problem with the term ?religious?? Even Christians. So many Christians often say things like I?m a Christian, but I?m not religious.
Well I am religious and I?m proud of it. That doesn?t mean I?m about to hit anybody over the head with a bible. But I do love God. And I love His religion. When Christians say they?re a Christian, but they?re not religious, it seems a bit like saying well I really love this band, but I don?t like to listen to their music. If you love a band, you play their music all the time, you go to their concerts, you join their fan club. I think being religious is a bit like being in Christ?s fan club.
And I completely disagree with the comments on the show that Jesus needs to be re-branded. Jesus is not another product to be sold. He doesn?t have an image problem. And I get annoyed with these attempts to make Christianity sound like a self-help program that will improve your life, make you rich and get you friends. And as for the chips ad ? what?s next? A TV advertisement, where somebody is praying and then a voiceover comes on saying, ?This is God speaking. Would you like fries with that??

I was rather upset with the "selected" images shown on the 7PM Project about the "Jesus All About Life" campaign. Unfortunately the researchers and presenters failed to obtain a comment from the Bible Society who is responsible for the campaign and for all media communications. As a result, there was bias reporting and discriminatory personal comments made by the presenters.
The 7PM Project unfortunately downloaded these confusing images without first gaining an official comment by the Bible Society. One particular offensive image was the result of abuse, created by non-Christians to deceive and manipulate people. These images have since been reported to the secular media agency responsible with instructions to remove the images, which are not part of the real purpose of the campaign.
The 7PM Project was therefore duped and as a result deceived many Australians into believing these were "official advertising" images. Many people were also offended by the main presenters comments "Jesus Freaks" and the open bias and discrimination by the other co-presenters. Thankfully the wholesome official TV advert (coming soon), will show the true essence of the Jesus All About Life campaign.

God created both, Jesus and Lucifer. God is in Jesus aswell as the Holy Spirit, so therefor Jesus has the same knowledge/deceit/anger/tricks/everything as Lucifer, since the father of both is one with Jesus... And we all know what happens to ppl who deceive the word of Jesus and God...
Remember only 144,000 ppl are getting saved in revelations (if we get to see it in our time lol who knows maybe 2012??) and who knows if that number has changed due to the population amount changing since it was written.
But God created everything, gave influence to who was needed to create/do what, woulda ya think god knew everything before it happened? i mean he is God, so surely he can see into the future and has a plan for everyone/everything. All it takes is a simple belief, its not that hard... aswell as using abit of your imagination and no doubt there will become a day where preaching wont be needed anymore
